    January 21, 2021
    1:00 am - 4:00 am

This water boundaries webinar will cover all areas of water boundaries found in colonial states, both tidal and non-tidal, navigable, and non-navigable. Comparisons to other New England States and New York will be made in the seminar, both in terms of state statutes and case law.  The legal basis for public trust water boundaries will be discussed. Riparian and littoral rights will be explained.  How to determine the Ordinary High Water mark (OHWM), which is found in both colonial and public land states, will be presented.

The survey technician studying for the FS or PS examinations will find useful study material on water boundaries, while the professional land surveyor will discover new insights on navigable rivers that were previously inaccessible to the professional land surveyor or the public.  Webinar attendees will received a copy of the new CALS booklet Water Boundaries for Land Surveyors which forms the basis for this webinar, as well as the PowerPoint slide presentation.
